About the founders of the red dress society™
2009 marks ten years since Angelina Musik-Comp (founder of the Red Dress Society & MOMtrepreneurs) fled from a domestic violent marriage to start over with her two children, now young adults. She made a commitment to herself that one day she would return back to others the compassion and assistance she was blessed with during her time of need.
Angelina has shared her overcoming story on many radio and TV shows.
In 2004 Angelina was twice awarded by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a ‘Woman in Business Champion of the Year’ and recognized by Texas Governor Rick Perry for helping women succeed in life and business through the social enterprise she and her husband Daniel Comp founded called MOMtrepreneurs.
In 2008 she created the first alternative to the traditional Welfare-to-Work Program for one of Washington State’s TANF Division calling it the Welfare Entrepreneurial Achievement Program for Women. The goal is to empower entrepreneurial moms to run a business around raising their children to improve financial stability while reducing social issues related to unsupervised latch-key kids.
As a husband and wife team they continue to encourage and educate audiences on how to move beyond their limiting beliefs. They have contributed enormously into the lives of individuals, organizations and enterprises that empower social entrepreneurs to expand their passion, reach, and impact into the lives of others.
In 2010 they will be teaching workshops nationally that combine marital topics and business topics. The goal is to help increase the success rate of a couple’s relationship as well as their business, while also helping to reduce domestic violence in all of its forms amongst Enterprising Couples.
