FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hood River Family Life Skills Center Couple Receives ‘Angel’ Award
[HOOD RIVER, OR, April 16, 2011] Mike and Pam Hughes, Directors of the Hood River LIFESKILLS program received recognition and the Red Dress Angel Award from the Founders of MOMtrepreneurs and MENtrepreneurs for their sacrificial perseverance in establishing their program in the Columbia Gorge area.
LIFESKILLS helps everyone enhance his/her personal life and relationships. Although it does deal with domestic violence issues giving knowledge and support to both victims and perpetrators of abuse, it covers a wide variety of other topics. Anyone can benefit greatly from this program because students "Learn to live and Learn to Love" for a lifetime.

As a program and staff, our goal is to treat men and women with respect and dignity regardless of their life circumstances. We believe that hurting people hurt other people, and know that a better life is available to them.

"People who struggle in life will often deal with life's issues from false perspectives developed from childhood traumas. We restart the brain’s
cognitive development. I believe that if you are teachable, you are fixable," said Mike.

Mike and Pam receive their award from Angelina Musik-Comp, founder of the Red Dress Society, a division of MOMtrepreneurs, and the reigning Mrs. Southwest Texas rough local nominations the Red Dress Society ‘Angel’ Awards program recognizes Those that have consistently demonstrated a commitment to serve their community. It’s an extension of the economic development and philanthropic work of couple Daniel and Angelina Musik-Comp, also the founders of MOMtrepreneurs and MENtrepreneurs.
