Eva's Heroes is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to enriching the lives of those with developmental challenges by providing an inclusive setting built on four tenets interact, grow, learn, and love. Based in San Antonio, the organization helps children and young adults between 14 and 21 years of age, who are developmentally challenged, integrate and flourish in society.
Christiane Perkins-Garcia serves as the Executive Director for Eva's Heroes overseeing all operations of the organization and Barbara serves as the Executive Assistant for Eva's Heroes and is responsible for day-to-day communication for the entire organization.
Eva's Heroes offers unique opportunities for these young men and women to experience that they may not be able to experience elsewhere. The organization also hosts special events throughout the year that serve as fundraisers contributing to the enhancement and growth of Eva's Heroes programs. Actress Eva Longoria-Parker and Executive Director Christiane-Perkins Garcia founded the organization in 2006.

Christiane Perkins-Garcia
Christiane Perkins-Garcia serves as the Executive Director for Eva's Heroes overseeing all operations of the organization. Christiane began her career as a special education teacher in San Antonio's Northside Independent School District, where she taught for more than 11 years. She has always believed that every individual deserves the same opportunities in life. Her desire to provide growth and opportunity for others has been a common thread throughout Christiane's educational and professional careers.
In 2006, after noticing a lack of programming available for special needs children, Christiane founded Eva's Heroes with actress Eva Longoria-Parker. Today, Christiane and the staff of Eva's Heroes strive to provide a fun and enriching environment for individuals to interact, grow, learn, and love.

Christiane graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1994. She earned her Master's of Education in Special Education from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) in 1998. She and her husband, Rene, reside in San Antonio and have two beautiful children, Tiannah and Gavino.
Barbara Dierker
Barbara serves as the Executive Assistant for Eva's Heroes and is responsible for day-to-day communication for the entire organization.
For 15 years, Barbara made a positive impact on the lives of a myriad of students in her role as a special education instructor with Northside Independent School District in San Antonio. During her tenure at Pat Neff Middle School, Barbara served as the Special Olympics Coach for 13 years.
In 2000, she received the honor of Teacher of the Year at Pat Neff Middle School. She also attained the accomplishment of St. Pius X Catholic School Alumna of the Year in 2006 for her efforts as a special education teacher, yearbook editor, and community volunteer.
Barbara graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. She received Special Education certification through the T.O.P.P. Alternative Teacher Certification Program at San Antonio's Region 20 Education Service Center.
