Janie is an inspirational human being, an incredibly hard worker, and a great friend. The 1st San Antonio Youth Summit would not have happened without the resources that Janie brought to the project and to the many hours of hard work that she put in to it. Because of her, the Youth Summit is quickly becoming an established institution in San Antonio and a part of the community. She cares deeply about the work that she does and about the people she serves. She never lets setbacks slow her down and is one of the most energetic people I have ever met.

I can only attest to her work on the Youth Summit but I have heard equally laudatory remarks from community members and her colleagues about her work, her spirit, and her generosity.

If there is one individual that has the enthusiam and drive to make a difference for others, it's Janie. I have seen her bring hope to those that were lost through the Reach Out And Recruit (ROAR) orgainzation. As a fellow SAHRMA member, her passion is contagious for drawing others to get involved and support the many causes that she champions. As a friend, she can be counted on to always come through for you. If there is one and only one individual that should receive the 2009 Angel Award, it is Janie Lopez. A doer that strives for excellence in everything that she does, while seeking nothing in return. This award will let her know how much the community appreciates her generous work in making a difference for all in the Greater San Antonio area.

Janie has been a great resource to our students at Hallmark College by speaking at our professional development workshops covering topics such as: networking skill,s resume development, and interviewing tips. She even volunteered to do this on her day off!

I think she would be great for this leadership role and has my vote.

Well what can I say about Janie Lopez, she exemplifies grace and dignity at anything she puts her hands on, she is the ultimate professional and always handles every project, meeting, conference, fundraiser and networking event with one ultimate goal and that is to create an experience and make EVERY effort to please and take care of any attendee. She is a great friend/client, although this would be an honor for her to receive she far exceeds what ANY nominated title that could possibly be awarded to her. I nominate Janie Lopez as the Youth Summit Chairperson.
