‘Your Best Foot Forward’ assists job seekers meeting their clothing needs for all career fields from the business office, to the hospital, to the construction site. Putting "your best foot forward" at an interview begins with attire that makes a great first impression.

In this time of great economic difficulty (myself laid off twice in 2009) the idea to start ‘Your Best Foot Forward’ was established in the heart of the Pacific Northwest in whic we’ve aided the less fortunate for over 2 years now. Many of those we helped were able to get back on their feet and start their lives anew.
Our organization assists job seekers meeting their clothing needs for all career fields from the business office, to the hospital, to the construction site. Clients come to our location and can choose up to one set of clothing for an interview and can come back and get up to 3 days of clothes if they get the job. These clothes are provided at NO COST to the client.

My ingrained Midwestern work ethics echoed in my mind.
“You get one chance to make a first impression. Look like you want the job".
It is YBFF's mission to help you find a complete set of clothing to wear to your job interview AT NO COST TO THE CLIENT. Whether you are seeking employment in the business world, medical field, or the labor/trades field we are here to help you. We are dedicated to creating tools and services to help the unemployed get back on their feet and start more productive more joyful lives.
Kathryn’s Bio:
Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Kathryn is a mother of 3 adult children. She moved to Portland February 2007.
“My midwestern work ethics reminded me that a job hunters appearance at interviews makes a huge impression. It is our mission to help job seekers have the proper attire for their first face to face meeting with a potential employer. I feel people working together, moving forward together will have a big impact on this country's ability to move forward. After two layoffs, I thought there has to be an opportunity here somewhere if I look far enough.”
In addition to directing Your Best Foot Forward I also volunteer with AFSP (The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and serve as the field liaison for SPAN-USA (Suicide Prevention Action Network) District 3 which covers the Portland metro area.
