From Suits to Self-Sufficiency
Dress for Success San Antonio provides professional attire, and workforce development and life skills training to more than 1,000 women annually so that low-income women residing in San Antonio and the surrounding area may establish a solid work history and permanently leave public assistance. With suits from Dress for Success San Antonio, women not only look their best, they feel their best and have the confidence to succeed.
Re-established in July 2002 by Pamela Taylor, Dress for Success San Antonio has grown from serving three nonprofit referral agencies to serving over 90 different nonprofit and governmental agencies in the San Antonio community. An independent 501(c)(3) corporation registered in the state of Texas, Dress for Success San Antonio is part of a world-wide network in nine countries and is an affiliate to over 90 other Dress for Success organizations
Professional Women's Group (PWG)
The Professional Women’s Group (PWG) is a program for Dress for Success San Antonio clients that have obtained employment. The mission of the PWG is to provide our network of employed Dress for Success women the partnership of support, practical information and inspiration to achieve self-defined success in career and life. We do this through monthly job retention and career development programs that focus on helping our clients build a career and learn new skills. Lecture topics include: Communications (written & unwritten rules of the workforce), financial literacy/wealth building, life-skills training, work/life balance, and issues that are of interest to women.

At the Dress for Success San Antonio Career Center, we have a knowledgeable staff that is waiting to welcome you into the world of success. We offer a wide range of tools and advice in order to get you started on the right path towards your new career. Our career center is designed to help answer your questions while you learn how to create a brilliant resume from your own words.
The Suiting Program
Each client receives one suit when she has a job interview and additional clothing when she gets the job. The Dress for Success San Antonio's Professional Women’s Group program then provides ongoing support to help the client build a successful career.
